Feeling overwhelmed?

As leaders, parents, professionals or simply as people we often carry the weight of situations we can’t fix. But here’s a truth I share in every coaching room:

🎯 The Three Circles That Shape Your Energy

Take a moment to imagine three circles drawn inside each other:

🔵 1. The Circle of Concern

This is everything that worries or affects you but is outside your control. Think: world events, the past, the economy, gossip, other people’s choices.

🟡 2. The Circle of Influence

These are things you can influence over time like how your team performs, your relationship dynamics, or your work culture.

🟢 3. The Circle of Control

This is where your real power lives. It includes your thoughts, actions, decisions, reactions, and how you choose to lead and live today.

🧠 A Leadership Nudge to Bring It Home

When you're feeling stuck or drained, pause and ask:Is this something I can control? Can I influence it? Or is it just a concern?

Yes be aware of what others are doing. But don’t live there.Don’t give your power away to things that aren’t yours to fix.Instead, focus on what’s real. What’s now. What’s you.

💫 Change Starts with You

Let me say this clearly:

When you focus inward on your growth, your mindset, your boundaries you naturally begin attracting the kind of people, energy, and opportunities that align with who you're becoming. Instead of exhausting yourself trying to fix others, invest that energy into changing you.And in return, you'll reap the benefits: deeper relationships, clearer peace of mind and a life designed around your values not your stressors.

🛠️ Try This: “Focus Where Your Power Lives” Activity

Want to feel more empowered this week? Do this 3-step reflection:

Step 1: Brain Dump

Grab a notebook. Write down all the current challenges you’re facing—big or small.

Step 2: Sort the Circles

Draw three circles on a page. Place each challenge into one of the following:

Step 3: Power Plan

From the Control circle, pick 1 thing you can act on today. From the Influence circle, pick 1 relationship or process you’ll intentionally nurture this week. And from the Concern circle, pick 1 thing to let go of for your peace.

🧭 Final Thought:

Leadership, parenting, relationships it all begins with one powerful truth:

Apply This to Your Own Life

First They Blamed Foreigners for Taking Jobs. Now AI Is Coming for Work. Who Do We Blame Next?

By Lloyd Munyaviri | L2MCoaching After Blaming Foreigners, Who Do We Blame When AI Takes the Jobs? For years, in many societies, when people have felt economically squeezed, one of the easiest narratives has been: “foreigners are taking our jobs.” We have heard it in the UK. We have heard it in South Africa. We have heard it in communities where people are struggling with unemployment, poor wages, insecure work, rising costs, stretched public services and a deep sense that life is becoming...

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗻, 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 “𝗡𝗼” — 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

As part of the Monthly Connect Better Podcast Series we run at L2MCoaching (everyone is invited) once a month, a number of topics for discussion are suggested and this one is a popular request and I hope to do it justice: In relationships, one of the hardest conversations to have is the conversation about rejection, intimacy, emotional needs and unmet expectations. It is a sensitive subject because it can easily be misunderstood. When a partner says “no”, that “no” must be respected. No one...

Education Is Not the Answer. It’s the Beginning.

Why knowledge alone is not enough and what we need to learn instead. We’ve been conditioned to believe something powerful: “Education is the answer.” Say it enough times, and it becomes truth. Build systems around it, and it becomes policy.Repeat it to selves and our children and it becomes belief. But let’s pause for a moment and ask a question that rarely gets asked: Education… then what? Because if education truly was the answer, we wouldn’t have so many educated people feeling stuck,...
